Meet Chadd
Become Gun Smart Kids like us!A place for kids to learn gun safety.... from kids.Meet Chadd, our oldest gun smart kid.

Hi,

My name is Chadd and I'm 17 years old and I am A the oldest Gun Smart Kid. Most people in the firearms community know me as "D-Day".

I earned my nickname because before I started shooting I was nothing and now I am something. My Dad started me shooting at age 15 with his Smith&Wesson .45.I progressed

up to our Marlin 30-30. From there he had me shoot our AR 15. I've worked my way thru various calibers. AR .223/5.56, .45, .9mm, .380, .40, 30-30, 7mm wind-mag, .22

My dad taught me three simple but essential rules everyone should know about guns.

1) ALWAYS TREAT IT LIKE ITS LOADED

2) ALWAYS KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR READY TO SHOOT

3) NEVER POINT IT AT ANYONE OR ANYTHING YOU DON'T INTEND TO SHOOT

I'm glad my Dad has shared his passion for guns with me. I may not be smart about cars, sports or other things some of my friends like. I like to know about different caliber guns and how they function. A firearm is a tool just like a screwdriver or hammer. Each tool serves a purpose and must be used responsibly or it can become dangerous.

After high school I am going to collage for gun smithing and i would like to attend Pennsylvania Gunsmith School so I can further my education about firearms.

We hope that by teaming up with with Noah it will give us a new platform to share our knowledge and help spread firearm awareness and proper safety.

Thank you for reading this. Be safe and happy shooting.
